Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that I do not have to go to the V-E-T again any time soon!!!

That is why I was crabilated yesterday. Tuesday afternoon Mom took me and Boni Maroni to the vet. What do I care from a checkup? And I do not like being stabbed. Mom calls it a distemper stab and she is right, it dis-tempers me a lot.

The worst part though is that the V-E-T cleaned my ears and he said I have yeast in one ear! I have not been baking bread in my ear. I am sure I do not have yeast in it. I meowed that to him, but he did not pay any attention. Now I have to have nasty cold drops in my ear two times a day for two weeks! Ugh. It's enough to crabilate anyone. Especially when your sisfur doesn't have to put up with that kind of indignity.

So I am VERY thankful I do not have to go to the V-E-T again any time soon. Srsly.

Ewww--cold drops in the ears? I would hate that too. Feel better and tell the other cats to stop baking their bread in your ear!

Oh, that explains the look! We Crexes get yeasties in our ears too! How our mewmie explains it to the people who bring their kitties into the cat hospital where she works, is that "The ear canal is a dark, warm place, perfect for growing things (like mushrooms--ask Little Pink Pig--do you know him?). And yeast spore are everywhere in the environment. So, when a kitty (or doggie) gets a yeast infection, whether it's on the skin or in the ear, it is usually something lets that yeast start growing and it gets...outta control!

So, you be good about not hiding when it's time for your meds (don't ask me why they have to be kept in the fridge--just to make it worse on us!)

Cold stuff in your ear does not sound nice, but at least you don't have to go back.

Oh dear! I would be severely crabilated too. You didn't even get any bread out of all this!
